Q. How do I make my text shortcut type in bold or italic?

Answer:

In most text editors with formatting capability, you can use the hot key <Ctrl+B> to toggle the bold status on and off. Based on that observation, we can enclose the part of a shortcut that we want to bold in the hot code <Ctrl+B>.

For example, expansion of the shortcut below:

I would like to draw your attention to the <CTRL+B>recent changes<CTRL+B> that our company...

will result:

I would like to draw your attention to the recent changes that our company...

with the enclosed part "recent changes" in bold.

Similarly, to put a part of a shortcut in italic, enclose it in <Ctrl+I> hot codes.

For more information on how to define your text shortcut, see the Shortcut Editor topic. For details on each hot code and its syntax, see Hot Codes topic.
