The ClipCheck Dialog Box
Use this dialog box to check and correct your clipboard content.

Activate the ClipCheck Dialog Box
- Select a block of text that you want to check
- Press <CTRL+SHIFT+A+C> hot key
Note: You can change the hot key to any keyboard combination by modifying the "Activate the ClipCheck dialog box" hot key in the Hot Keys Options dialog box.
Close the ClipCheck Dialog Box
Either:
- Click "OK" button to accept all changes and close the dialog box. Asutype will copy the text into the clipboard and paste it back to your document.
- Or, click "Cancel" button to cancel the changes. Your document remains unchanged.
Note: This ClipCheck method is good for plain texts only: neither text formatting information nor embedded objects are preserved. To handle non-plain texts, use the HiliCheck method instead.
Use the ClipCheck Dialog Box
When you activate the ClipCheck dialog box, Asutype automatically gets the text out of the clipboard, checks and corrects it and displays the result for you to review.
- The automatic corrections are highlighted in blue
- The uncorrected mistakes are highlighted in red
- Click any highlighted mistake/correction to review it. Or you can click "Next Mistake" button to jump to the next highlighted mistake/correction in order.
Actions to take on uncorrected mistakes
Uncorrected mistakes are highlighted in red. You can take one of the actions below:
- Click "Ignore" button to ignore the mistake (or "Ignore All" button to ignore all instances of the same mistake in the text).
- Click "Spelling Add" button to add the mistake to the current hot spelling dictionary. The name of the current hot spelling dictionary is listed under the button.
- Click ">>" button next to the "Spelling Add" to add the mistake to another open spelling dictionary. The newly selected dictionary will become the current hot spelling dictionary.
- Click "Correct" button to correct the mistake by the word in the edit box (or "Correct All" button to correct all instances of the mistake by the word).
- Click "Correction Add" button to add the mistake along with the correction in the edit box to the current hot correction list. The name of the current hot correction list is listed under the button.
- Click ">>" button next to the "Correction Add" to add the mistake along with the correction in the edit box to another open correction list. The newly selected list will become the current hot correction list.
Actions to take on automatic corrections
Automatic corrections are highlighted in blue. You can take one of the actions below:
- Click "Accept" button to accept the correction (or "Accept All" button to accept all instances of the same correction in the text).
- Click "Restore" button to restore the original mistake (or "Restore All" button to restore all instances of the same mistake in the text).
- Click "Spelling Add" button to restore the original mistake and add the mistake to the current hot spelling dictionary. The name of the current hot spelling dictionary is listed under the button.
- Click ">>" button next to the "Spelling Add" to restore the original mistake and add the mistake to another open spelling dictionary. The newly selected dictionary will become the current hot spelling dictionary.
- Click "Correct" button to correct the mistake by the word in the edit box (or "Correct All" button to correct all instances of the mistake by the word).
- Click "Correction Add" button to add the mistake along with the correction in the edit box to the current hot correction list. The name of the current hot correction list is listed under the button.
- Click ">>" button next to the "Correction Add" to add the mistake along with the correction in the edit box to another open correction list. The newly selected list will become the current hot correction list.
Note (Trial Version only): The free trial version cannot save data changes permanently. All changes are available in the current working session only; they will be discarded when you exit Asutype. If you want to save your data permanently, use the full version instead.
