Installation

Installation will copy all the files needed to run Asutype into your computer and create a program group called "Asutype".

Install from a CD

If you received this version of Asutype as a CD, follow the instructions on the CD label for installation.

Install from a self-extracted file

If you received this version of Asutype as a self-extracted executable file (for example, ASUTYPE-SETUP.EXE):

1. Select "Run" from the Windows Start menu.
2. Type the full file name (e.g. C:\DOWNLOAD\ASUTYPE-SETUP.EXE) and click "OK" to run it.
3. Follow on-screen instructions. The installation process will issue a number of prompts. Unless you have a reason to override the defaults it is strongly recommended that you accept the default settings (just press the "OK", "Yes", or "Next" button as appropriate)

Install from a ZIP file

If you received this version of Asutype as a normal ZIP file (for example, ASUTYPE-SETUP.ZIP):

1. Extract it to a directory of your choice.
2. Run the included ASUTYPE-SETUP.EXE file.
3. Follow on-screen instructions. The installation process will issue a number of prompts. Unless you have a reason to override the defaults it is strongly recommended that you accept the default settings (just press the "OK", "Yes", or "Next" button as appropriate)

Un-installation

There are three ways to un-install Asutype.

Un-install from the Start menu

Choose "Programs" -> "Asutype" -> "Uninstall" command from the Windows Start menu.

Un-install from the Control Panel

Activate the Control Panel, double click "Add/Remove Programs", and double click the "Asutype" list box entry.

Un-install manually

Using the Windows File Manager, Explorer, or some other similar utility, delete the Asutype folder and all of the files it contains.
