Overview
Asutype is a smart OS-level real-time spell check and speed typing software that works with your keyboard to increase your typing accuracy and productivity: it learns and adapts itself to your keyboarding habits, spell checks and automatically corrects spelling mistakes as you type, automates difficult and repetitive typing tasks, and applies several other innovative solutions to protect you from making unwanted typos and save you lots of time, giving you accurate and fast typing.
How Does Asutype Work?
While running, Asutype is continuously watching your typing.
- It watches for mistakes that you may make such as mistyping (e.g. you slip your fingers and hit a wrong key), Caps Lock key accidentally turned on, uncapitalized names and sentences, misspellings etc. If the mistake is recognized (e.g. you have made it before), Asutype will correct it immediately and automatically like it had never happened. If the mistake is unrecognized (e.g. you make it the first time), Asutype will signal it, keep track of it and learn it so it can be fixed the next time if you make it again.
- It watches for repetitive text patterns and automatically expands any predefined abbreviation into a longer text. You can assign any frequently used text such as your address, your signature, a difficult technical term, a common phrase etc. to a much shorter abbreviation and whenever you want to type the text, just type the assigned abbreviation and Asutype will automatically replace it with the original text. For example, "tyvm" can be expanded to "thank you very much", "asap" can be expanded to "as soon as possible".
- It watches for repetitive typing tasks and automates them, too. You can assign a series of commands or actions that you perform repeatedly or in a regular basis for a hot key and Asutype will carry out those tasks automatically by answering the hot key. For example, you can use a hot key to duplicate a block of text, launch a search to a search engine, write an e-mail, copy and paste multiple clipboard items at the same time etc.
